Organisation of the course

CIME training offers you a recognised diploma based on 9 theoretical teaching modules and 1 practical teaching module of 40 hours. We are aware that life as a doctor is not easy to organize. The CIME curriculum adapts to you and your family and professional commitments. To achieve this, we offer our students 3 training options:

  • A training course with distance learning theory and face-to-face practical in Paris over 5 consecutive days, i.e. 10 half-days of 4 hours each.
  • Theoretical training is completed only online.
  • Practical training is completed only face-to-face in Paris, which will be 5 consecutive days consisting of 10 half-days of 4 hours each.

You have up to 24 months to complete all the theoretical and practical requirements to obtain your diploma. CIME registration is open all year round!

Theoretical training

This takes place entirely via distance learning on our CIME-learning platform. All course material & videos are available 24/7. Each of the 9 theoretical modules consists of:

  • A central theme.
  • A keynote speaker who is a medical expert on the subject.
  • A descriptive and practical video tutorial on the Aesthetic Medicine procedure related to the module theme.
  • A non-graded Initial Knowledge Assessment Questionnaire to evaluate your initial knowledge.
  • From 4 to 12 hours of video lessons.
  • A Final Theoretical Knowledge Evaluation Questionnaire covering all the theoretical concepts covered during the module.
  • A Final Theoretical Knowledge Evaluation Questionnaire, covering all the practical concepts covered during the module.
  • A Satisfaction Questionnaire.

The Practical

• An initial distance learning stage: In each of the 9 theoretical modules, discovery and learning through a video tutorial describing in detail how to perform the Aesthetic Medicine procedure selected as fundamental for that module. This observation phase will give you a better understanding of the 40-hour practical module.

• A second face-to-face phase: A 40-hour module, spread over 10 consecutive 4-hour half-days, i.e. 5 days in a row, taking place in Paris, face-to-face. During these half-days, you’ll be supervised by an expert in each treatment, ensuring precise transmission of protocols and techniques. This will enable you to become independent and master each of these procedures, enabling you to take out professional liability insurance and to practise aesthetic medicine in your own practice: you will then have reached the “Installation” level.

Note: During these 40 hours, your practical knowledge will be assessed.

Note:
CIME is a generalist training programme in Aesthetic Medicine that will provide you with the fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge you need to get started in Aesthetic Medicine safely and effectively for yourself and your patients.

Like all medical procedures, each Aesthetic Medicine treatment requires 1 to 2 years of regular practice to reach “expert” level. No training course can guarantee that you’ll reach the “expert” level in just a few days or hours. Honesty and transparency are CIME’s cardinal values, which is why at the end of our course you will reach the “Installation” level required to take out Professional Liability insurance and set up your own business.

If you want to improve quickly, you’ll need to take additional training courses or sign up for CIME Masterclasses.

To ensure that you receive the optimal number of practical sessions, places on the CIME curriculum are limited by a numerus clausus. For this reason, we cannot guarantee enrolment on the CIME curriculum to all students who apply.

The teaching and administrative team is at your disposal throughout your training. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you encounter any difficulties or problems during the course.
