CIME FAQ
The CIME course can be completed from a minimum of 12 months to a maximum of 2 years. Do I have to choose the length of my training?
You don’t have to choose the length of your course; it’s tailored to you and your needs. We are aware that life as a doctor can be hard to organise, which is why your student space and all its resources remain accessible for 2 years from your registration date.
This gives you between 12 months and a maximum of two years to complete all the requirements for the diploma.
If you have not obtained your diploma after two years, you will be invited to a face-to-face or online meeting with the pedagogical director to find out what difficulties you have encountered.
How do I validate theoretical training?
By validating the 9 theoretical modules: Diploma requirements
My final exam won't unlock, what's the problem?
To unlock the final exam at the end of the course, you must :
- Validate all initial knowledge assessment questionnaires
- Validate the entire course (See : How do I validate the course ?)
- Validate, with a minimum mark of 14/20 on all final knowledge evaluation questionnaires.
If the final exam has not been unlocked, one of the above conditions has not been met.
Can I start a CIME course during the year?
You can register for CIME training all year round. Once your registration has been validated, you will have access to your student area and all our teaching resources.
Can I take out professional liability insurance and practise aesthetic medicine after studying at the CIME?
The C.I.M.E. diploma is recognised by insurance companies, enabling you to prove your professional competence and authorising you to take out specific professional liability insurance policies covering the risks associated with the practice of aesthetic medicine.
Can I receive a certificate of registration for my VISA?
On request by email, once registration has been validated, we can provide you with a certificate of registration.
Can I save the courses on my computer?
CIME courses are only available online and cannot be saved. You have access to them throughout your studies, and even after graduation.
Will I be trained to manage adverse events for all procedures?
For each procedure, we teach the indications, contraindications, practical implementation and management of side effects.
What does CIME's practical training consist of?
CIME’s practical training consists of :
- An initial distance learning stage:
In each of the 9 theoretical modules, discovery and learning through a video tutorial describing in detail how to perform the Aesthetic Medicine procedure selected as fundamental for that module. This observation phase will give you a better understanding of the 40-hour practical module. –
- A second face-to-face phase:
A 40-hour module, spread over 10 consecutive 4-hour half-days, i.e. 5 days in a row, taking place in Paris, face-to-face. During these half-days, you’ll be supervised by an expert in each treatment, ensuring precise transmission of protocols and techniques. This will enable you to become independent and master each of these procedures, enabling you to take out professional liability insurance and to practise aesthetic medicine in your own practice: you will then have reached the “Installation” level.
Note: During these 40 hours, your practical knowledge will be assessed.
How can I reserve my practical slot?
For students who have chosen a “practical” curriculum, once you have validated all the theoretical course online, you will be able to book your practical day in Paris, supervised by our experts, on an online calendar.
CIME ensures that each of its students benefits from high-quality, personalised practical training, which is why places for practical slots are limited to a maximum number of students per day, giving priority to student-expert interaction.
